Afghanistan has recalled its ambassador to Islamabad and other senior diplomats over “security threats” after the alleged abduction and torture of the daughter of Afghanistan’s Ambassador Najib Alikhil in the Pakistani capital. Meanwhile, Pakistan has termed this decision of Afghanistan as ‘unfortunate and regrettable’.
On this whole matter of torturing the daughter of the Afghan ambassador. Pakistan has clarified that the whole case of kidnapping is being investigated seriously. And the directive of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is being followed at the highest level. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid, in an interview to a private TV channel news channel, said that the ambassador’s daughter was not kidnapped. Rashid alleged that the whole episode was an “international racket” to “defame” Pakistan.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the foreign ministry said, “Following the abduction of the daughter of Afghan ambassador in Pakistan. The leadership of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has recalled the Afghan envoy and other senior diplomats from Islamabad back to Kabul until all the security threats removed.”
On the other hand, Silsila Alikhil, the 26-year-old daughter of Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Najibullah Alikhil, allegedly abducted, tortured and assaulted by unidentified men on Friday. Meanwhile, she was tortured before being released. After which she was found near the F-9 Park area of the capital.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s Vice President Amrullah Saleh tweeted, “The abduction of Afghan ambassador’s daughter & her subsequent torture has wounded the psyche of our nation. Our national psyche has been tortured.”
