Haryana: Now Common Cadre Implemented in Medical Colleges


After not being able to directly implement the Common Cadre rule in government medical colleges. Now the Haryana government has implemented this rule in new recruitments for medical colleges. Directorate Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana. For the first time, has released the recruitment of 72 Assistant Professors (Teachers) directly in the name of the department without giving the name of any medical college.

Five government medical colleges

Earlier, DMER used to seek applications by referring to the vacant posts in the concerned medical college. Under the new rules, the newly recruited assistant professor can be sent to any government medical college in the state. There are five government medical colleges in Haryana. Rohtak, Karnal want doctors to come to medical colleges, but Mewat, Khanpur, and Faridabad are not getting doctors.

Application for 13 Super Specialty and 59 Specialty

Out of total of 72 posts, 37 are for General Category, 28 for SC, 2 for BCA, 1 for Economy Backward. And one for EAS, and 1 for Divyang. Of these, 13 are for Super Specialty and 59 posts are for Specialty.

For super specialty

Applications are invited for 1 post each for Nephrology and Cardiology. Pediatrics Surgery, Plastic Surgeon, Cardiac Surgery, Neuro Surgeon, Urology, Neurology, Oncology Surgery, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology.

In April, top officials of the health department held a meeting to formulate a new policy for all medical colleges in the state. Representatives of 5 major medical institutes of the state, Rohtak PGI, Kalpana Chawla Medical College Karnal, Khanpur Medical College Khanpur, Agroha Medical College, and Mewat Medical College participated. In the meeting, everyone approved the proposal to implement the Common Cadre Rule. However, later all the staff including doctors of all medical colleges opposed it. CM Manohar Lal also held a meeting with the officials in this matter, but it was left pending in view of the protest.
